Iryi
Navigation

Iryi hangs out for a while in the manor house, but then becomes horribly bored. She started playing more and more with the silver sand, and many other substances both mundane and exotic. Her magical abilities haven't increased since the giant adventure. One rainy day, she's at the manor house alone, horribly depressed. She decides to go on a silver sand adventure alone, which is never advised. The last few times she's taken the drug, the experience has been shallower than she has been used to. So, she decides to up the dosage. In addition, the measuring device she's using is slightly different that the ones she's seen used before (it's larger). So, her dosage is much higher than she's used to.

20 minutes into the journey, she realizes that this is the most realistic silver sand experience that she's ever had. She is dreaming that she's a small elf-like girl, but the size of a halfling. Her hair and eyes are the same color, but her ears are much longer, and she feels different. She's carrying a staff, which she feels very attuned to. In fact, it feels exactly like Ioko. The staff even looks like Ioko in some ways. It's red and slightly scaly to the touch, but warm. At times, she feels like the staff is trying to talk to her. She's wandering through a strange village. There are Giants, and little flying faeries, and lion-men, and jackal-men. There are humans too, but no elves, dwarves, halflings, half-orcs, or gnomes. There are also human people with Red skin, but they disturb you. Once or twice you've even seen a reptile looking guy. You've also seen other little elf-like people that look like you. Some are smaller and look like miniature elves. Others are about your size, but the men have facial and body hair.

You also seem to have knowledge that you don't remember gaining. You know that the Giants have come from over the sea about 300 years ago to rescue the land from the evil Dramojh. You can even speak the Giant language. You also know that the red skinned people are Verrik, the lion-men are Littoran, and the jackal-men are Sibbacai. You know that you are known as a Loresong, a subspecies of Faen, and the smaller Faen are known as Quicklings. The tiny flying faeries are Sprytes. You also know that you could transform yourself permanently to a Spryte, and you feel drawn to do so. You also feel much smarter than you've ever felt. Concepts that you've been struggling with now seem to come easily. Both math and language seem trivial, and your memory is like a well ordered filing system.

However, you don't feel as magically powerful. This is a deep loss. You know that you can still cast magic, but you can't do it like you used to. You have to use your staff as a focus to your mind... You have to use your mind to cast spells. This is extremely unusual. You can see that there are miniscule runes that spiral around your staff. You can read these runes, and they tell you how to prepare certain spells.

You don't know how this has happened, but you've been here much longer than a normal silver sand experience usually lasts. As time continues to pass, you get a bit worried, but decide to play along for now.
