4/8/02 Somehow, we all got to the tower. First, Spark came and took off with the painting. Skyld and I kept running toward the distant tower, hoping to beat Spark. We were racing after all. Well, we finally arrrived, somewhat out of breath, expecting to see Spark there with the painting. Well, the painting was lying on the floor, and Xuxu was there looking into the telescope... at noon... with the lens cap on... Then, Spark was flying around pissing on the painting, making it hiss. So much confusion in my head. Then Skyld started examining the arcane equipment. Some sexy thing. I don't know. In a few minutes The Arcane Arts Professor Moon or Moor or Kood, or whatever his name is, arrived and wanted to take the painting downstairs, and maybe back to the cemetary. Well, I stood on the trapdoor, and Skyld and I tried to dissuade him from leaving. Soon enough, an eagle arrived and turned into Professor Grinfinth. The two professors talked for a while, and they finally agreed to store the painting, apparently some evil artifact called a soulscape painting, in the vaults. Then she told us to come to a meeting of the deans that night. So, after stopping by the hospital wing to get healed, and then getting changed into clothes which aren't ripped and bloody, our group got together in the dorms for a little chat. Skyld and Spark convinced me that Professors Grinfinth and Snow were evil and certainly plotting against us. Spark wanted to leave, but how could we, if this evil was going on all around us. We decided to approach The Necromancer, Professor Malkor, or Malthor, or whatever. He seemed trustworthy. After a while talking to him, we determined that he was in on it. After easily convincing him that we were just kidding, we left. Our last chance was our archery professor, Professor ummm... Damn. What was his name again? Something elvish. Crap. Anyway, we tried to get him on our side, but Skyld soon saw through his sweet sounding speech. He was in on it too. After that, there was no way were were going to get spark into that Deans meeting. The rest of us went, we didn't want the deans to think we knew anything. I think we fooled them. We learned that a war had broken out in the north, and that they were taking the painting to the north to help fight the invaders. Crap. We have to destroy that painting. They're taking it north, near to to frozen isles. My father will certainly be fighting in the war, and I don't want that painting anywhere near him. We need a plan. At the end of the week, we had the Spring dance. I was hoping to get lucky with that second year girl in our dorm, but I had other things on our mind. Spark was still trying to get us to leave, so I told him that we would leave if he could drink me under the table. Unlikely, but he gave it a shot. Then Chrysanthemum, Snow's assistant came to us. He wanted to destroy the painting too. He must have seen through Snow's evil plans. So, Creosote led us out of the dance hall, and we made a plan. We take his key, we'd go to the vault, we'd open it, and then destroy the painting. Sounded like a good plan to me, but the other weren't convinced. "How do we destroy the painting?", "What about traps?" They kept saying. I tried to explain that we'd discover the traps when we got there, and we'd try different things to destroy the painting when we had it. No point flapping our lips about it, It there?
