OK.

Clavicle is a dick. Here’s what happened. Crysalis led us to the vault and seemed very adept at getting through the traps and protections around the vault. Seemed kind of odd for a personal assistant to be so good at breaking and entering, but what do I know, right? We grabbed the painting without incident, and headed out to the dark forest.

Kayla and Spark were all “Oh no, the dark forest”, but they came anyway. We almost got nabbed by some guards, but honestly, the academy guards are pussies, and we got away. We end up at some standing stones, which, for some reason, I remembered that we should be avoiding. But, whatever.

As soon as we see the stones, Cranium grabs the painting, jumps into the circle, and vanishes. Just like in the training caves, I jumped right after him (I guess the training worked.)

First thing we did was kick the crap out of Carnation and tie him up. Of course, then we looked around. We were on a cliff above a lava lake. And it was damn hot. I hate heat.

When Culpable woke up, we interrogated him. He sang like a Kilda Beast at supper time. Apparently, the guy’s name wasn’t Critimass after all. It was something like Sized Ankle, or Sisal Anchor. I dunno. Anyway, Dick is an evil cleric who works for the people we are at war with. We’re soooo getting detention for this.

Spark, when all our backs were turned, grabbed the painting and threw it in the lava. It seemed to work, but you never know with paintings. It was a better idea than having Skyld pee on it. That didn’t seem to work.

So, Dick starts crying and getting all weepy. He begs us to take him with us, and he’ll help us escape. What a pussy. When he finally pulled it together, he told us of a few different portals that we could go through. One was in the temple by the lava, another was in the mines just above, and a third was in a village at the base of the mountains. And, no, he didn’t know if there were any pretty girls in the village.

I guess that rules out the village. I vote mines. Lava sucks.
